Passage 2(2023江苏连云港改编)
阅读短文,根据短文内容回答问题或翻译画线部分。
One day, a young boy named Zhang Liang was walking along a bridge. He saw an old man sitting there. One of the old man’s shoes was left under the bridge.
“Go over there and get my shoe, young boy!” the old man ordered. Zhang Liang felt surprised, but he still picked it up for the old man. The old man said, “Five days later, please come to meet me at the bridge early in the morning.”
Five days later, Zhang Liang went there as promised. But the old man came there before him. The old man got angry about his lazy habit.
Zhang Liang was asked to come again. The next day, Zhang Liang arrived earlier than before. But the old man was still before him. The old man became much angrier and asked him to get there again the next morning.
This time, Zhang Liang arrived at the bridge late at night. He spent the whole night there. When the old man came the next early morning, he was happy to find Zhang Liang there earlier than him.
The old man nodded with a smile and gave Zhang Liang a valuable book. Zhang Liang read the book carefully day and night and learned many skills from it. Many years later, he became a wise general(将军) and made great achievements.

Passage 1(2024长沙长郡三模)
阅读下面短文,根据短文内容回答问题。
Which arts were ancient Chinese scholars(学者) expected to learn? They were calligraphy(书法), painting, an ancient form of chess and the guqin.
The guqin, one of the oldest traditional Chinese musical instruments, could date back to over 3,000 years ago. With longer strings(弦) than many other musical instruments, the guqin can produce rich tones(音调).
Bringing traditional musical instruments to life is a tradition in Wu Wenguang’s family. Wu Wenguang is a 78 - year - old master of the guqin. He not only perfects his own musical skills but also works hard to keep guqin music alive. Wu said guqin music was often written in simple words. Although some words were given to describe how to use the hands and play the seven strings, there were no instructions on how fast or slow to play it. So even if there are about 3,000 ancient pieces for guqin music, different musicians have different understanding, according to Wu.
To keep guqin music alive, Wu and his father Wu Jinglüe, who was also good at playing the guqin, recreated more than 100 ancient scores(乐谱). Besides ancient guqin compositions, Wu has also adapted (改编) modern musical works and added them to his performances to increase the popularity of guqin music.
“More and more young people love the guqin performances with a new wave of interest in the nation’s traditional culture,” says Wu Ye, Wu’s daughter. She is carrying on the family tradition of playing the guqin. To attract young people, Wu Ye has organized a series of guqin concerts with different themes.
1. How long is the history of the guqin?
______________________________
2. Why do different musicians have different understanding of guqin music?
______________________________
3. What did Wu and his father do to keep guqin music alive?
______________________________
4. Is the guqin performance more and more popular among young people?
______________________________
5. As students, what can we do to keep guqin music alive?
