John Keats was born in London in 1795. He was one of the most famous English poets. Unlike many other poets at that time, his family was quite poor, but his parents tried to save enough money for Keats to train to be a doctor. He studied hard and finally became a doctor. His experiences of helping the sick and the poor made him care more about the suffering around him. However, he soon decided to stop his studies and spend all his time writing poems.
He spent a lot of time thinking before finishing a poem. He always worried about the words in his poems. His first book of poems appeared when he was 22 years old. Later, from 1818 to 1820, he wrote most of his famous poems. Unluckily, in 1820, he caught a disease. Keats died at the beginning of 1821. He was very young that year. He left a lot of great poems. These poems will never be forgotten.
