Last week, I visited Mutianyu Great Wall with my parents. At first, I just thought it was not as busy as Badaling Great Wall. I didn't think it would be much fun. But in fact, I really enjoyed myself there!
The first interesting part was taking a chairlift(缆椅) up to the wall. Of course, you can also take the cable car. It makes it easier for children and old people to climb the wall. You can take a slide down from the wall. It takes about two or three minutes to slide all the way down. That's why more and more people like to visit Mutianyu Great Wall.
The secret of an enjoyable visit is to reach the wall early. Most people visit the wall on a day trip by coach from the downtown of Beijing. If you arrive before the first coaches, you will feel you're enjoying the sights of the wall by yourself. It's really wonderful. Anyway, you can't miss Mutianyu Great Wall when you stay in Beijing.
