Rules are all around us. They help keep our lives in order, whether at home, school, or in public.
Rules at Home
At home, there are rules to help us be good kids. For example, we should take care of our things. We need to put our toys away after playing. Also, we should respect our parents. Say “please” and “thank you”. And we have to finish our chores. This could be setting the table or taking out the litter. These rules teach us responsibility (责任感).
Rules at School
School has many rules, too. We must arrive on time. Being late is not allowed. In class, we follow the teacher's order. We can't talk loudly. We should put up our hands if we want to speak. Wearing the school uniform is a rule, too. It makes us look like a team.
