To improve students’ health, primary schools and junior high schools in Shenzhen have had a daily PE class since the beginning of this term. In our school, students also have a PE class every day.
Besides three regular PE classes, students have one music - based exercise class and one sports game class every week. They can join in colourful sports activities, like basketball, table tennis, rope skipping, swimming and kung fu at school. Among them, one of the students’ favourite sports is basketball. Not only can it offer students a chance to communicate with teammates in sports, but it also helps improve their learning efficiency.
“I’m glad that the PE classes enrich my school life as well as reduce my stress,” said Liu Xiaojun, an eighth grader. And most students hold the same idea as Liu. They think they are good for their physical and mental health.
