Imagine you could design a new school. What would it be like? What would you be doing? We want to find out what teenagers around the world think. Here is what they said.
Wu from China: my dream school would have an Olympic - sized swimming pool, two football pitches and a golf course. I think there should be more sports activities for students to take part in besides studying in the classroom.
Sonia from Italy: I’d like a room where we can go and relax by listening to music or chatting with friends. Some senior students in the school have already had this but I think it should be a place for everyone to go when they want to switch off from the lessons.
Richard from the US: I think it would be great to have a day off every week, as well as the weekend. If that day was a Friday or a Monday, we would have a long weekend every week. What fun! I’m sure we could learn just as much in fewer hours. And besides, we have more time to do outdoor exercise and voluntary work.
Hannah from Australia: I think teachers should have a change. They should give us more freedom and choice about what and how we study.
Yoko from Japan: my dream school would be big and roomy with a computer for each student in the school. I’d also like to have a music room where we can just go and play instruments whenever we want.
