The United States International Photography Contest For Kids sponsored by National Geographic Partners begins on August 1, 2016, and ends on October 22, 2016. All mail-in entries (参赛作品) must be postmarked (盖上邮戳) by October 15, 2016, and received by October 22, 2016. Online entries must be received by 11:59 pm (Eastern Daylight Time) on October 15, 2016. Entries will not be returned. The competition is free of charge. Many will enter, few will win.
Who may enter
The contest is open to the citizens of the United States who are between the ages of 6 and 14 at the time of entry. Employees and officers of National Geographic Partners, and their family members are not allowed to enter or win a prize.
How to enter
The categories (类别) for entries are: (1) Amazing Animals (photos of pets, zoo animals, or wild animals), (2) Dare to Explore (photos of outdoor scenery), (3) Weird But True (photos that capture something odd or funny) and (4) Wild Vacation (photos taken during vacation travels). Each competitor may submit (提交) entries in any category he / she wishes and may submit entries to different categories, but one competitor only can submit one entry per category.
Cool prizes
One Grand Prize Winner will be chosen from the four First Place Winners in this contest. The Grand Prize is a 10-day Family Adventure to the Galapagos.
First Place Winners will win a camera; their winning photos will be published on website; and they will be entered into the Worldwide National Geographic Society International Photography Contest For Kids. They will continually compete with the winners of other National Geographic Society local contests from other countries.
Second Place Winners will receive one copy each of special books and their winning photos will be published on website, too.
