A fun way to keep scenic spots clean
保持景区干净的有趣的方法
1 This summer, this idea came to life in a scenic spot called Mingsha Mountain Crescent Spring in Dunhuang, Gansu.
With the tourist season in full swing, Mingsha Mountain Crescent Spring was bustling with visitors—around 20,000 a day during the summer season. But with so many people, there also came a lot of rubbish, putting stress on cleaners! 2 The scenic spot started a cool activity called Trash Hunt for Gifts.
Here's how it worked. 3 In return, they would receive small gifts that show the rich culture of Dunhuang. 4
The Trash Hunt for Gifts activity was more than just picking up trash. It made everyone feel like they were helping to keep the area clean and beautiful. And guess what? Mingsha Mountain Crescent Spring was not alone in using this fantastic idea. 5 Such places include Jiangxi's Wugong Mountain and Xi'an's Lintong.
