Dear Andrew,
It's been quite some time since we last contacted(联系), and I thought it would be wonderful to share with you how my life has changed since I changed school last year.
As I look back on the good old days in the village, a wave of nostalgia(怀旧) washes over me. Life was different back then. We were like a big family. Everyone knew each other. We would meet in the village square with stories and jokes, talking and laughing. Life was slow, and we enjoyed the small things.
Living in the city now is a different experience. The city is full of activity, with busy streets, tall buildings, and constant(持续不断的) progress. Technology has made things faster, more connected and exciting. The city offers more chances to learn, think, and experience different cultures.
However, this rapid progress comes at a cost. Life in the city is fast, and people from all walks of life are always on the move, busy with their own goals and responsibilities. It's easy to feel lonely, even when surrounded by many people.
I miss the simple life in the village, where the air is fresh, the sky is clear, and nature is everywhere. At the same time, I begin to embrace(拥抱) the beauty of city life. It has broadened my horizons(视野).
Life is a journey made up of different experiences. Each experience, whether in the city or the village, has shaped me into the person I am today. As I continue to grow, I find comfort in the memories of the past and excitement in the possibilities of the future.
