A US marine (水兵), who served in Cuba, has reported his experience of UFO activities. The marine said he saw UFOs flying overhead almost every night because he often stood guard at the south of the base. He saw UFOs flying towards the ocean and taking off from the ocean. And because they passed over the base at a height of about 300 feet, he was able to tell that UFOs were made of a dark metal (金属) with some blue lights. When they entered the water, the blue lights could still be seen but would grow weaker and weaker. That suggested that whatever the object was, it was going deeper into the water. Seeing this, he asked himself, "Is there an alien UFO base under the water?"
What's more, UFOs were also seen around 140 kilometers north of the US base in Gulf Breeze, Florida, in November 1987. Ed Walters said that he saw a strange object flying overhead by the sea. It sent out blue light. He said that when he was caught in it, everything around him was blue, and he couldn't move. However, Walters did managed to take several pictures of the object. Hundreds of people said they also saw the strange object that evening.
Some people seemed to believe the story was real, while others said that the pictures were not real. Years later, a study about Walters' story showed they had discovered a model spaceship very similar to the object that Walters had taken pictures of. However, some people argue that this model is clearly a "plant".
