Nowadays, an increasing number of people show great interest in traditional Chinese art. My favorite traditional Chinese art form is calligraphy, which has a long history and has influenced me a lot.
I started learning calligraphy at eight. At first, it was challenging for me to use the brush to write Chinese characters. My hand would ache after holding the brush for a long time. Luckily, with the help of my teacher, I improved step by step. Now, I can write Spring Festival couplets for my family every year. It makes me proud.
Learning calligraphy has a great influence on me. Thanks to years of practice, I become more patient and careful. I will keep on doing it and hope to be able to pass down this traditional Chinese art form in the future.
