Reagan Bischoff created a video channel named Throw Leftie. She shares creative ways to handle daily tasks that are challenging due to her cerebral palsy(大脑性瘫痪).
How does cerebral palsy make you think creatively?
My brain struggles(努力) to control my muscles(肌肉), so my left hand and foot are weak. There are many things that are hard for me, like putting my hair in a ponytail, wearing earrings, tying shoes, and cutting food. My mom told me, “Try first, but ask for help if needed.” Though I feel frustrated when I fail, I keep trying until I find a solution(解决办法).
Why did you start the video channel?
As I learned to live independently(独立地), I discovered new ways to solve problems. I realized many people face the same challenges, so I created Throw Leftie to share these ideas. Now, viewers can learn how to adapt tools or change routines to make life easier.
What does “Throw Leftie” mean?
In lacrosse, coaches yelled “Throw leftie!” to help me play better, but I couldn’t use my left hand. Instead, I became a goalkeeper. This role lets me enjoy the sport without switching hands or running much—a creative solution!
How do you connect with your audience?
Many parents ask if their kids can meet me, as few know others with cerebral palsy. Each month, I host video calls with about 26 girls. We discuss challenges like school tasks. We also chat about hobbies and movies. Finding common interests helps us feel connected beyond our disabilities.

答案:
1 A 细节理解题。根据“There are many things that are hard for me,like putting my hair in a ponytail,wearing earrings,tying shoes,and cutting food.”可知,因为患有大脑性瘫痪,扎马尾辫、戴耳环、系鞋带和切食物这些事对她来说很困难,没有提及看书。
2 B 词义猜测题。根据“Though I feel frustrated when I fail,I keep trying until I find a solution.”可知,当失败时,心情应该是沮丧、懊恼的。
3 B 推理判断题。作者通过一系列问题来展开文章。
4 B 推理判断题。由“Though I feel frustrated when I fail,I keep trying until I find a solution.”可知,面对困难时,她虽然会沮丧,但是会一直尝试,直到找到解决办法,由此可知,她是坚定的。
