Taking a cup of tea, reading a book and sunbathing were my most memorable and peaceful moments on my summer holiday. And to everyone’s surprise, I finished 12 books: the two series of Percy Jackson.
How? Why?
First, our teacher made us read English books recommended by two of my classmates. One of them advised me to read Percy Jackson and the Lightning Thief. For a whole week, I just couldn’t move past the first sentence. It was a task, and I disliked it. I didn’t want to read the book at all!
Then one sleepless night, with the silver moon overhead and the sound of insects outside, I picked up the book. The chapter(章节) of Percy’s Claim was so wonderful that it simply took my breath away. One book after another came and went, and those touching moments in them left unforgettable memories in my heart. I felt everything, even the goose bumps(鸡皮疙瘩) on my arms. My heart rose and fell like a roller coaster, with all the exciting moments that followed each other like heart beats.
