C
One - Day Trip to Jingdezhen
Today was a wonderful day in Jingdezhen and it was my first time to come here. The city is famous for its ceramics (陶瓷制品). The landscape gave a deep impression to me on my arrival. There are many mountains around the city, and the air is very fresh.
First, I visited the Jingdezhen Ceramic Museum. There are so many beautiful ceramic pieces from different times. There are also some fine artworks made hundreds of years ago with beautiful pictures on them. Making ceramics requires many steps and a lot of skills. I was shocked at the complexity (复杂) of the work. I tried to make a small piece of ceramic myself. It was hard for the boy like me, but I succeeded in making one.
Then I went to the Ancient Kiln Site Park (窑址公园). It was very interesting to see the places where the ancient workers used to make ceramics. I really wondered how the workers made ceramics. In the park, I watched an artist painting a plate. He was very creative. I found myself deeply drawn by his way of making ceramics. I tried making a small bowl with his guidance. It seemed like a piece of cake, but I failed to complete it. Finally, I bought a small ceramic cup as a souvenir for myself. It was a great way to remember the visit to Jingdezhen.
I really enjoyed my day in Jingdezhen. It is a place full of history and art. I can understand why it is called the "Porcelain Capital (瓷都)". I believe I will have more chances to revisit it and learn more about ceramic culture in the future.
