九、阅读下面两篇短文,根据短文内容选择最佳选项。(共10小题;每小题2分,计20分)
A

Gina Posted at 8:32 a.m. on 3rd May 2025
Last weekend, I joined a community cleanup project at Jinjiang River. With gloves and trash pickers, our team collected some waste like plastic bags, used bottles, and even some broken umbrellas. You guess what the best part is? I found a message in a bottle from a child that wrote “Let’s protect our home!”.
After a full day’s work, though my arms were sore, seeing the clean river shining under the sunlight made me realize how teamwork can truly change our environment.
Community service isn’t just about work—it’s about spreading love for our city! Have you ever tried volunteering? I’d love to hear your stories.

Cool, Gina! Yesterday, I volunteered to organize shared bikes near our neighborhood. We solved problems like fixing broken seats and cleaned the seats. The best moment came when a lady walked by and said, “Thank you, kids! I can ride to the market!” The moment made me realize even small efforts can make life easier for others and turn common days into joyful ones. You remind me how powerful kind actions can be!

Terry, you’re like a neighborhood superhero fixing those bikes! I am considering what if our school starts a monthly community service program. Maybe we can try different things: clean rivers, fix bikes, and have charity sales .... The possibilities are endless!
