n December 7, the famous Notre-Dame Cathedral in Paris (巴黎圣母院大教堂), France opened to the public again. In 2019, a fire broke it. The French President said he would reopen it in five years, and he made it happen. 1

Notre-Dame is an old church (教堂) right in the middle of Paris. It's around 900 years old and it's a symbol of France. It's an old-fashioned building with tall towers. 2 It took more than 180 years to finish. It has lovely floors and really beautiful glass windows.
3 Maybe it was because of an electrical problem. Over 500 firefighters worked hard and saved the towers and bells. But the top of the tower and most of the roof (屋顶) fell down.
Rebuilding cost about 900 million. People from all over the world gave money to help. 4 They cut down trees, cut new stones, and built a new top for the tower. They also used drones (无人机) and robots.
Now the cathedral is open again, but some parts are still being repaired. If you want to visit, you have to buy a ticket before you go. 5 Experts think that next year, maybe 15 million people will come. The reopening is not just about an old building. It's about all the people who worked together to bring it back.
A.In 2019, a fire broke out.
B.The building started in 1163.
C.Some Chinese workers helped with the work.
D.Many important people came to this big event.
E.About 2,000 workers used old ways and materials.
F.There are some shows during the reopening event.
G. Before the fire, 13 million tourists came every year.
