In June 2024, NASA (美国国家航空航天局) astronauts Williams and Wilmore took the Boeing's Starliner to the ISS (国际空间站). They planned to return in 8 days. 1 They had to stay at the ISS for 9 months. On March 18, 2025, they returned to the Earth aboard the SpaceX Dragon.

The Dragon landed in the ocean near Florida. 2 They helped the astronauts lie on stretchers (担架). After quick health checks, they were then flown to NASA's Johnson Space Center in Houston. Doctors checked them again. "If all is okay, they will see their families soon.
Their job was to test the Starliner. It can carry 7 astronauts. 3 But near the ISS, it had gas leaks They reached the ISS safely on June 6, 2024. NASA and Boeing couldn't fix it from the Earth. It was not safe to take the Starliner to return. So it went back alone on September 7, 2024.
4 They waited for the next SpaceX mission (任务). It should arrive on August 19, 2024. But the launch (发射) was late again and again. Why? The Starliner used the docking space To make room for their return, the mission had a two-member crew (全体工作人员) instead of the usual four.
During 9 months, they did experiments. 5 After 3 months, Williams became the ISS leader. She held the post (职位) until March. Now they are back. Both of them said staying in space was a gift. Their long stay taught scientists more about living in space.
A.At first, it worked.
B.But the spaceship had problems.
C.Rescue teams found them quickly.
D.No spaceship could take them home.
E.It's dangerous to work in the spaceship.
F.They didn't like living in space too long.
G. They also fixed things and took spacewalks.

答案:
They helped the astronauts lie on stretchers.
