【你知道吗?】
Bananas Stop Ice Cream from Melting Too Fast
It can be annoying (恼人的) when your ice cream melts (融化) fast on hot summer days. But scientists are working out this problem with the help of bananas, the Daily Mail reported.
Bananas have tiny fibers (细小的纤维) inside. These fibers are thousands of times thinner than human hair. Scientists have found a way to put the fibers into ice cream. They found that the fibers stopped the ice cream from melting too quickly. The fibers also make the ice cream taste more creamy (软滑细腻的). They think that using the fibers could allow ice cream makers to use less cream and milk and make their ice cream healthier.
What does your ice cream say about you?

It's cool to have a big ice cream in summer. Which is your favorite flavor (口味)? And what does that say about your personality? Let's find out.
Analysis
1. Vanilla: You always listen to other people's ideas. You also enjoy being with your family.
2. Chocolate: You want to be a popular student. You like going out and talking with other people.
3. Strawberry: You are a little shy. But you have a warm heart and a good temper (脾气).
4. Green tea: You believe in yourself and have many good habits. You often finish your homework on time.
This quiz is just for fun. Don't take it seriously.
【读故事,知典故】
Once upon a time, there was a Chinese gentleman who was teaching several students. One day, one of his friends, a doctor, came to visit the gentleman.
The guest noticed some students eating many pears and jujubes (枣). He said to them, "Pears are good for teeth, but eating too many of them would hurt your spleen (脾脏). Jujubes are good for the spleen, but chewing too many of them would hurt your teeth."
One of the students really loved pears and jujubes. He felt sad after hearing what the doctor had said. The child thought for a long time. Then he said, "I know what to do! I can chew a pear but not swallow it and I can swallow a jujube directly without chewing it. In this way, I would protect both my spleen and teeth."
The student's words made the other people laugh. If he tried to swallow a jujube whole, it wouldn't taste good or be easy to digest (消化). The child only took in what he was told, without really understanding its meaning. His way of thinking was just like swallowing a jujube without actually chewing it.
