But one day, my father said something I'll never forget. "If you want to live a good life, you must see yourself as a(n)6 person and accept your body." His words gave me 7 to show myself.
Later, I decided to volunteer for a teaching programme in Xizang. And I even 8 for marathons, although I always came in last. But when a sports brand's team asked me if I would walk the runway at Shanghai Fashion Week, I didn't 9 my head immediately because I felt I was not qualified enough. 10, something the team said really moved me, "Sports are the expression of a strong and positive 11, not about going through the motions." I've always loved sports since I was a kid. If being 12 didn't get in the way of my love for sports, why should it stop me from walking the runway?
Finally, I agreed with the invitation. I was nervous on the runway at first 13 I had never received any professional training. However, as I took a step forward, I heard a voice, "Wow! She's beautiful." I kept hearing the same 14. So I felt so excited and wanted to tell the disabled: We are not 15 but we're beautiful.

答案:
1.C [解析]根据"disabled people to chase their dreams bravely by sharing my life experience"以及文章内容可知,作者希望通过分享其生活经历来鼓励残疾人勇敢地追逐他们的梦想。
故选A。
All I knew was that I had lost a leg and I wouldn't be able to run any more."
So I started to try my best to hide my prosthetic leg."
6.B [解析]根据"you must see yourself as a(n)...person and accept your body"可知,作者的父亲告诉作者必须把自己看作一个正常人。
8.A [解析]sign up报名;make up组成;bring up培养;pick up拿起。 故选A。
9.C [解析]根据"because I felt I was not qualified enough"可知,作者没有立即点头,因为她觉得自己不足以取胜。
Finally, I agreed with the invitation."
12.D [解析]根据"...why should it stop me from walking the runway?"
I had never received any professional training"可知,这里是由because引导原因状语从句,解释作者在T台上紧张的原因。故选A。
