Katy is very excited. Her class is having a party on Friday because school is closing for the summer holiday. So today she is going shopping with her mum and her friends Pamela and Jenny. They are going to buy something nice for the party. She gets up early and she is eating breakfast when her friends arrive at her house.
They all have some cereal(麦片) and orange juice together and talk about what they want to buy. "I want a pretty pink dress," says Jenny. "I want a skirt with flowers and a white T-shirt," says Pamela. "I don't know what I want to buy," says Katy. "Something nice and not too expensive."
Katy's mum drives them to the mall. They go into a large shop and look at all the clothes. There are so many and they don't know where to look first. Katy chooses some jeans and shorts and Jenny looks at a pink dress and a yellow one. "Try them on," says Katy's mum. Katy and Jenny take their clothes and Pamela takes a blue skirt and a flowery skirt. They put on the clothes and look in the mirror. They are happy with their things and decide to buy some of them.
Jenny buys a pink dress and pink shoes. Pamela buys a long skirt with small flowers on it, a white T-shirt and black shoes. Katy chooses pink shorts and a T-shirt with a pink heart on it. "You all look so pretty in your new clothes. I'm sure you will have a great time at the party."
They all go to the café to have some ice-cream and juice before they go home.
