七、任务型阅读
主题:人与社会——文学 学科素养:思维品质 词数:约200 建议用时:5分钟
One day, Anne's stepmother Marilla told Anne that Miss Stacey, a new teacher, came to Green Gables.
“Anne, Miss Stacey says you are doing well in school. If you can study better, you will pass the exam for Queen's College. Then, after a year at the college, you can become a teacher!” said Marilla. Anne was very happy. “Oh, I'd love to be a teacher!” Then in the afternoons, Anne and some of her friends studied late at school for the exam and Miss Stacey helped them.
Time passed quickly. On a warm summer day in early June, Anne took the exam. Three weeks later, Diana, one of Anne's friends, ran into the kitchen at Green Gables, waving a newspaper. “Look, Anne!” she shouted. “You came in first!” Anne took the newspaper and saw her name at the top of two hundred students. For the first time in her life, she was too excited to say a word.
The evening before Anne left for college, her stepmother cried. “I was just thinking of the time when you were a little girl,” said Marilla. “And now you are going away...”
Anne held Marilla's hands and said, “Marilla, nothing will change. I may be bigger and older, but I'll always be your little Anne.”
