I like reading
Reading makes a full man. Reading can open up our minds and help us get more knowledge. As for me, I like reading a lot. I read books for six hours every week.
My favourite book is called Journey to the West. The writer Wu Cheng'en wrote a story of a Chinese monk, Xuanzang. He went to the west for some Buddhist scriptures. There are some lovely characters in it: the kind Monk Tang, the brave Monkey King, the funny Pigsy and the serious Sandy. They worked together, tried hard and finally got what they wanted.
The book is very interesting. From it I know whenever we meet with difficulties, we should not give up until we succeed.
Reading is a lifelong journey. I hope everyone can read as much as possible in the future.

My Favourite Book
I have read some fantastic books. Of all the books I have read, I love A Dream of the Red Mansions most. It is my favourite and it was written by Cao Xueqin, a famous novelist in the Qing Dynasty. What's more, I deeply value the book and have read it over 10 times. Firstly, I was touched by the moving love story between Jia Baoyu and Lin Daiyu. Besides, if given enough patience and devotion, the novel will also reveal the rise and decline of a famous noble family to its readers. What I also enjoy about the book is its language and writing style of Cao Xueqin, which had a profound effect on the writers of his times and later generations.
All in all, A Dream of the Red Mansions has won my heart and I am convinced that it deserves yours too.
