Duanwu Festival is also called the Dragon Boat Festival. It is one of the most important and traditional festivals in China. It falls on the lunar May fifth. People all over China eat rice dumplings and watch dragon boat races. Dragon boat races are held in many places to remember a great ancient patriotic poet Qu Yuan. Qu Yuan sacrificed for his country, which showed us the spirit of patriotism. People's dragon boat racing is in honour of Qu Yuan.
