Students in middle schools have to learn almost eight subjects every week. What's your favourite subject? What subject is easy for you to learn? To know more about students' favourite subjects, we do a survey of 1,200 students in No. 2 Middle School. And the results (结果) are in Diagram (图表)I.

From Diagram I, we can know that maths is the least popular (最不受欢迎的) subject in school. Only 480 students in total choose maths as their favourite subject. Why is that? We do a second survey for the students and the results are in Diagram II.
Although maths is difficult, we still believe that it is a useful and important subject because everyone has to use maths in the future. To make students more interested in maths, the headmaster(校长) in No.2 Middle School even plans many games about maths, such as Sudoku (数独).
“Do you like maths? Do you like to play with numbers? If so, please tell more students to join us and start learning maths. Enjoy yourselves finding more fun. And you may find maths will help you one day,” says Mr. Chen, the headmaster.
