What will life in the future be like? Will it be much better than it is now? And what will we be able to do 10, 20 or 30 years later? Let’s just close our eyes and think!
Genetic Engineering (基因工程)
Genetic engineering will help us create the perfect human. Babies will grow up to do slam dunks (扣篮) like famous basketball players. Also, we will be able to mix plants and animals! But do you want your dog to be a tree?
The Dead
In the future, we will be able to bring the dead back to life. Then each family can meet and talk with its dead family members. On television people will see Albert Einstein, Marilyn Monroe, Confucius, Elvis Presley, and Shakespeare talking with each other!
Long - living People
Over the next 20 to 50 years, it will become harder to tell the difference between humans and machines. All body parts will be replaceable. We will then be able to make fake (假的) people. We will make a copy of ourselves, so we will appear to be alive long after we are dead. A few decades later, people will find ways to transfer (转移) their spirit to the new body.
Nanobots (纳米机器人)
We will be able to build nanobots to travel through our body. Also, nanobots will be used when we are sick. For example, when we have a stomachache, we will swallow a very small robot and it will travel through our stomach, taking videos of what’s happening there. Then we can show the videos to help the doctor diagnose our problem.
Computers
Computers help us remember, calculate, and enjoy ourselves. In the future, computers will be able to show their feelings. They will be able to think better than the human mind.
After television became popular, many people soon became couch potatoes. It is not surprising that many people have become overweight; and things will get worse in the future! We will be more and more interested in computers and the Internet, spending more and more time in front of computers and forget what our real needs are. Many of us will become super couch potatoes and weigh 250 kg!

(1) I think the world will be increasingly changed. There will be no cars and all people have flight cars which can travel around not only just cities but also through the countries around the world. There will be no poverty or diseases in Africa and all people live a rich and happy life. There will be robot servants instead of humans. There will be no colleges or schools and people take courses online and get their certificates.

(2) In my opinion, a lot of what we see in science fiction (科幻) films will come true.

I think there will be flying cars for people to park on the top of buildings. If this happens, there won’t be traffic jams anymore! I believe that most houses will be green, as we’ll only use the energy like wind and solar power. In the future, I think robots will do most of our housework, so life will be easier. There will be robot teachers too, and children will take laptops to school instead of books.

(3) I think life in the future will be better. Most people in the world will use “green cars” by 2050, so there will be less pollution and people will live to be 200 years old. As for space travel, I would say, we will travel to Mars (火星) and some other stars in about fifty years.

(4) I think things will be worse in the future. The weather in the future will be much hotter. Human beings will have to look for another planet to live on. If we don’t take good care of the earth now, our children and grandchildren will be born into a world with too much pollution. There will be fewer trees and more buildings, because there will be more people.
