Dear David,
Having reviewed your initial draft for the poster design competition on “Protecting Wildlife”,I’m writing to offer some suggestions for improvement.
Your design seems to lack a message that can motivate people to take action. Additionally, the quality of the images and the cluttered layout need to be improved.
Therefore,I suggest you use a concise and convincing message and high-quality images relevant to the theme. Meanwhile, you’d better simplify the layout by removing some unnecessary elements that distract attention from the message.
I hope my feedback is helpful. Best of luck with your design.
Yours,
Li Hua

Amrita had always been a city girl, loving
the busy city life. One day, however, a sudden
change of heart had occurred and a deep-seated
desire for change led her back to her hometown.
With all her things in just three bags, she
reached her old family home that stood amidst a
quiet coconut grove.
Feeling tired of her office job, Amrita
wanted to find something more meaningful. She
decided to try farming, something her family used
to do when her grandfather was alive. But with no
one to guide her, Amrita found it very hard. Her
relatives nearby refused to help her thinking she
was just following a trend. She bought a few farm
tools, determined to make it work, but as months
passed, she lost the will to continue and
completely broke down.
One day, as Amrita stood by her gate
thinking about her next move and regretting
leaving her job, she couldn't believe her eyes
when she saw her friends coming with bags in
their hands.
"Surprise, Amrita!" said Priya, pulling her
suitcase and a bag filled with paintbrushes(画笔)
and paint cans(油漆桶).
"We thought this place needs some colour,"
added Samar with a smile.
Amrita's eyes filled with tears as they all
hugged her together. All of them ended up crying
as the depth of her struggles washed over them.
That evening, her friends presented her with a
new plan.
"You know, this place has so much
potential," said Tina, looking around the old
house. "What if we fix it up and turn it into a
lovely cosy home for travellers to stay in?"
"Exactly!" agreed Anika. "We can all work
together and make it happen!"
Amrita hesitated, worried about the money.
Priya quickly said, "Don't worry, Amrita. We've
got the money. We're here to support you."
"But please know that we will be staying in
your homestay(民宿)as we please and enjoying
the free meals too," added Tina and they all
laughed.

A few days after they left, Amrita's phone
rang for the first time.

Over the next few weeks, the house was very
busy.
Her friends worked tirelessly, painting walls, refurbishing furniture and turning the old house into a cosy homestay. Amidst work, they shared laughter, memories and these moments of bonding strengthened their friendship further. As Amrita’s friends bid farewell to her three weeks later, they left behind a beautifully renovated home ready to welcome guests.
A few days after they left, Amrita's phone
rang for the first time.
Someone on the other side said,“Hello,we would love to book your homestay for two weeks,is it available?”Amrita managed to stutter a yes. Tears rolled down her cheeks and she thanked god for blessing her with such wonderful friends. She realised that sometimes family isn’t defined by blood but by the bonds we create with those who stand by us in our darkest moments.
