Automating(自动化)food is unlike automating anything else.Food is fundamental to life,so how it's
prepared,accessed and consumed can change societies fundamentally.Automated kitchens aren't sci−fi visions
from Star Trek.The technology is real.Right now,robots are used to fry chicken,create pizzas,mix

could suffer.
Can food technology really change societies?Yes,just t consider the significant impact of the microwave
oven(微波炉).With that technology,it is suddenly possible to make a quick meal for just one per r son,which
can be a benefit but also asocial destroyer.Concerns about the technology include worse nutrition and health
risks.Less obviously,that convenience can also transform eating from a collective,cultural and creative
