Audrey Hepburn was born in Belgium on 4th May 1929. She loved dancing and dreamed of becoming a ballet dancer when she was young. She had also been a model before she entered the film industry. In 1951, Audrey met the famous writer Colette and played the lead role in the play Gigi. Later, because of her role in the film Roman Holiday, she won an Oscar for Best Actress. During her lifetime, Hepburn had four more Oscar nominations. She played the role of an angel in her last film Always. Hepburn was not only an actress but also a humanitarian. She began to work for UNICEF in the 1950s and spent her last few years working closely with UNICEF. In 1993, Hepburn passed away because of cancer.
