4b 综合阅读
Classroom rules are important to students. With the rules, students know how to behave(表现) at school. So they need to know about the rules at the beginning of a new term. Schools and teachers usually make the rules. But some classes try a different way.
Forty-three students in No. 6 High School made their class rules. Each student wrote down the rules that they thought could help make their class a good one. Then they talked about the rules. They added some rules and rephrased(改写) or took out a part of them. The rule-making activity lasted(持续) about a month. Finally the class had 30 rules. And then the rule-makers wrote down their names on the rule poster. After that, they put up the poster on the wall. “No fighting” “No phone calls in class” and “No running in the classroom and hallways” are three examples.
The rules work well in their class because students think they are the rule-makers and they have to follow them.
