三、信息还原(每小题 2 分,满分 10 分)
阅读下面短文,从方框中选出能填入空白处的最佳选项。选项中有两项多余。
Your throat becomes dry. Your legs shake. You suddenly forget what you plan to say. All these show that you've got stage fright(怯场), a common fear when speaking in front of the public. Here are a number of ways to help you.
31 Think back to your first exam or your first day at school. You were probably nervous in both situations because you were facing something new. 32 This is also true for public speaking. The more you practise and learn about it, the less stressed you may feel.
Make enough preparations. Another key is to prepare the speech so well that you can't help but be successful. A general rule is that each minute of speaking time needs one or two hours of preparation time or even more. 33 One study shows that proper preparation can lower 75 percent or stage fright.
Always think positively(积极地). The power of positive thinking is to be sure of yourself. 34 However, if you predict a bad result, that is often what you will get. This is quite true when it comes to public speaking. So try to turn your worries into positive thoughts. You can say to yourself, "I believe I can give an excellent speech!"
Don't expect perfection. It may also help to know that there is no such thing as a perfect speech. 35 Luckily, the audience(观众) never seem to notice. Why? Because they don't know what the speaker plans to say. They only hear what the speaker does say. If you really make a mistake, just go on as if nothing happened.
A. Try to practise more.
B. Face your mistakes bravely.
C. If you think you can make it, you usually can.
D. Once you become used to it, it is no longer scary.
E. Almost every speaker says or does something wrong.
F. This may seem quite difficult, but it can make a difference.
G. You can see the audience as your friends who will always support you.
