二、阅读理解(每小题2分,满分30分)
A
I don't know what first made me interested in becoming a teacher. It is just something I had always wanted to do. When I was 5 years old, I wanted to become a teacher. I used to take all my toys, line them up and teach them. I had a white board that I would write on.
When I was in high school, I was lucky to join in a teaching activity. During this activity, we worked with the students in Grade 9 and helped them prepare for high school. Besides, we helped them with homework if they needed it, and taught them how to deal with hard situations(困境). To them, we were teachers. It was a special experience(经历) in my life, and I'd never forget the feeling I got when one student of mine who was shy broke out of her comfort zone(舒适区). The next two years when I saw her in the school, she'd always smile and say hello. This made me feel great because I felt like I had made a difference.
At the same time, ▲ . I broke out of my comfort zone. Being put in a situation like this pushed me to be more outgoing and patient. Working with them still helped me to better myself and improve(提升) my teaching skills.
Teaching is something that I have always wanted to do, and I know that I always will. The joy of helping people and knowing that I have made a difference in someone's life will make everything worthwhile(有价值的) to me.
