There is a black-and-white cat. One day the cat is sleeping under a tree in the forest. Suddenly he is woken by the sound of a bird. Then he feels very hungry. He wants to eat good things.
He looks around. He looks up at the blue sky and looks down at the green grass. Something is moving in the tree. It is a sparrow.
He talks to the sparrow and asks it to be friends with him. When the sparrow comes near, he catches it. He is going to eat it. Then the sparrow says, “A gentleman always eats his dinner after he washes his face.”
The cat is surprised to hear that, and he thinks it is right. So he begins to wash his face with his paws. At this time, the sparrow flies away quickly.
The cat is so sorry to lose his dinner and says, “As long as I live, I will eat first and wash my face afterwards.”
