A week after reaching the top of Mount Elbrus in Russia, the highest mountain in Europe, Zhou Yichen, 11, still remembered everything about the exciting experience.

Putting on crampons(冰爪) over his high mountain boots, Yichen started to move toward the top at 3 am on July 16. "It was still very dark, with only a little red light on the horizon(地平线). That was why we all had to wear head lamps, and the darkness also caused the difficulty of climbing," Yichen wrote in his diary.
About one-third of the way up the mountain, which is about 5, 642 meters high, altitude sickness(高原反应) brought on stomachaches and headaches, causing Yichen's steps to slow. He began swaying(摇晃) and fell down on the ground. For two to three minutes, he couldn't get up.
His father and three guides came over, asking if he could continue. Yichen thought for a moment and said, "The top is right ahead. We're about two hours away from reaching it. I can keep walking."
With his father's help, Yichen continued onward. The pain went away after climbing two-thirds of the way. In the final third of the journey, Yichen's condition improved. He was the first of the five to reach the top at about 8 am that day.
Looking at the snow-covered mountains all around, with the sound of blowing cold winds in his ears, Yichen said he had a strong feeling of achievement that was hard to describe in words.

根据第二段中的“Putting on crampons over his high mountain boots”和“we all had to wear head lamps”可知,出发登山时,驿宸穿上了带有冰爪的登山靴,戴上了头灯。 根据第二段第一句中的“Yichen started to move toward the top at 3 am on July 16”可知,驿宸出发登山的时间是7月16日凌晨3点;根据倒数第二段最后一句“He was the first of the five to reach the top at about 8 am that day.” 根据最后一段中的“Yichen said he had a strong feeling of achievement that was hard to describe in words”可知,登顶后,驿宸说他有一种难以用言语形容的强烈的成就感。
