[2025 江苏南京秦淮期末]
In October 2023, volunteers sent a small green sea turtle (龟) to the Sea Turtle Care Center at an aquarium (水族馆) in South Carolina. The turtle, Ricotta, got tangled in a fishing line, and lost a front flipper (鳍足). People found more fishing lines in the turtle's body.

Ricotta was not the only one. Since the care center opened in 2000, workers there have seen many turtles like Ricotta. Some turtles' injuries (伤害) came from boat strikes (袭击) and animal bites.
“The best part about my job is that every day is different,” says Grace Buschiazzo, a biologist (生物学家) at the Sea Turtle Care Center. “Whatever the sea turtles need from me, I'm going to do it.” At the age of 15, Buschiazzo volunteered for a project. It helped protect sea turtle eggs. That was when she fell in love with sea turtles.
Buschiazzo recommends that kids can volunteer just like her if they are interested in sea turtles. “You can do it at an aquarium,” she says. “You can also do it at a local animal center. There are lots of ways to help sea turtles.”
Buschiazzo makes the turtles' meals and makes sure they stay healthy. She does everything she can to help the turtles get better.
Since 2000, the team at the Sea Turtle Care Center has successfully treated (治疗) and released more than 400 sea turtles. And that's another thing Buschiazzo loves about her job: getting to see how people save the turtles' lives and help them go back into the sea.
16. What do we know about Ricotta after reading the passage?
A. Animal bites led to (导致) Ricotta's injury.
B. Volunteers helped Ricotta after it got hurt.
C. Ricotta was born in a sea turtle care center.
D. Ricotta lost both of its front flippers in 2023.
17. What does the underlined word “released” mean in Paragraph 6?
A. Let go. B. Waited for. C. Knew about. D. Brought together.
18. What is the best title of this passage?
A. Saving sea turtles B. A sea turtle's story C. Learning about sea animals D. Advice on being volunteers

故选 A。18.A 最佳标题题。通读全文可知,文章主要讲述了对海龟的拯救、护理以及鼓励人们参加帮助海龟的行动,因此最佳标题为“Saving sea turtles”,故选 A。
