三、动词-ing 形式作表语
[先感知]
①The crucial thing is using body language in a way that is appropriate to the culture you are in. (人教选一 U4)
关键是以适合你所身处的文化的方式来使用肢体语言。
②A good way of saying “I am full” is moving your hand in circles over your stomach after a meal. (人教选一 U4)
说“我吃饱了”的一个好方法是在饭后将手放在肚子上打圈。
[会发现] 句①中动词-ing 形式using body language...作表语，句②中动词-ing 形式moving your hand...作表语。
[明规则] 动词-ing 形式作表语时，多指抽象的、习惯性的动作。主语通常是表示无生命事物的名词。表语与主语通常是对等关系，表示主语的内容，有时可互换位置。

四、动词-ing 形式的复合结构
[先感知]
①Do you mind my/me opening the door?
你介意我打开门吗？

你能想象出宇航员在太空漫步的情景吗？
[会发现] 句①中my/me opening the door为动词-ing 形式的复合结构，句②中astronauts/astronauts’ walking in space为动词-ing 形式的复合结构。
[明规则] 如果动词-ing 形式有自己的逻辑主语，这便构成了动词-ing 形式的复合结构。其逻辑主语一般由形容词性物主代词、名词所有格、人称代词的宾格或名词的通格来充当。在口语中，形容词性物主代词和名词所有格可分别由人称代词的宾格和名词的通格代替。
[名师指津] 当动词-ing 形式的复合结构作主语时，其逻辑主语只用名词所有格或形容词性物主代词表示。否定形式 not 应放在逻辑主语和动词-ing 形式之间。
The students’ knowing English well will help them to learn French.
学生学好英语对学习法语有帮助。
His not coming added to our difficulty.
他没来，这增加了我们的困难。
