Setting personal goals (目标) can give our life a sense of direction. Goal setting is used by top sports players, successful business people and achievers in all fields. Before you set personal goals, think about what you want to achieve in your life.
Try to set goals in some of the following categories (类别).
Education — Will you achieve the educational goals after finishing high school? Are you still growing and learning?
Occupation — What do you want to do when you grow up? What do you need to learn to make your dream come true?
Family — What kind of relationship do you want with your parents and other family members?
Public Service — Do you want to make the world a better place?
Creative — Do you want to achieve any artistic goals?
Physical — Are you fit enough to do the things you want to do?
Pleasure — How do you want to enjoy yourself?
Write down the goals and think about them carefully. To help make the process (过程) more easily, divide your goals into smaller tasks. For example, if you want to reach a main goal in five years, set a three - year goal, a one - year goal, a three - month goal and a one - month goal. Then create a daily To - Do List of things that you should do today. When a goal is achieved, take the time to enjoy your success. This helps you build the self - confidence.

Every student wants to be successful, but not everyone knows how to make success. At least, the idea is there, but they would not dare. They are afraid to fail. Too afraid to grow.
★ No success without failure. Success is not just getting something you do. It’s a learning process, a process of rise and fall. That makes it so interesting, because without fall, there will be something to celebrate your success.
★ Continue to grow. Some people do not succeed because they don’t want to change anything around them. They did not dare to step out because they fear the feeling of others. So they do not catch the chances of success with both hands. Unless you try, you’ll never be successful. Where there is a will, there is a way.
★ Invest (投资) in your brain. You can use the Internet, library, or museum for ideas, but an idea often fails as it directly comes from you. Someone else can tell you a good idea. But the idea is from someone else. Think about it with your brain, and you’ll find the correct way.
