serve sb. (as sth.) (作为……)为某人服务
serve (in/on/with) sth. (在……)为某事物服务
名词形式：service 服务 servant 仆人
例 1. The waiter served me a cup of tea. = The waiter served a cup of tea to me. 服务员给我端来了一杯茶。
2. Children must be educated to serve their country when they grow up. 必须教育孩子们长大后为他们的国家服务。
3. The man served the country as a captain in the army. 那个男人曾作为一名陆军上尉为国民尽责。
