高中生活
词数 312 难度 ★★★ 建议用时 7 分钟 正确率 _/4
My own experience in senior high school has been filled with more memories, laughter, stress, and—most importantly, growth—than I ever could have expected when I began. The lessons I have learned in those years have shaped who I am today, and that person is _far from_ the 14 - year - old girl who walked through those glass doors of La Salle nearly four years ago.
As a freshman, I tried to _adjust to_ what felt like a new world and tried to make friends as I had only one. I never knew what it was like to feel alone in a school with so many people. I felt like I had to act a certain way or be a certain person in order to _maintain a basic conversation_ with people in my classes or on my soccer team.
Every day, I was thinking about how I could manage to make myself look like someone with more friends than I actually had. By the end of my freshman year, I enjoyed myself. School wasn't challenging, and I was spending my weekends having fun with my friends. I had finally created a routine and felt _content_ with my life, but sometimes there were thoughts in my head telling me it was all a lie.
I think that's something that all teenagers deal with. It comes with the age, the questions, “Do my friends actually like me?”
Later, because of a bad virus (病毒) going around the world, we were forced to leave school. Without having to fear other people's _judgements_ or having to appear more “acceptable”, I gained independence and confidence within myself that I didn't know _existed_. When we returned to school, I became more interested in my study and my academic success gave me more confidence.
Looking back on my high school experience, I was really thankful for those memories and lessons.
