You might have taken part in your school's sports meets before, but have you ever been a referee(裁判)? My school just held a sports meet. There were 100 student referees! And I'm proud to say that I was one of them.
Being a referee is not an easy job. You have to know the rules well and be careful. I was the chief(主要的)referee for the high jump event. So I had to know which kinds of movements and positions(姿势)were right and which were wrong. If the player cleared the crossbar(横杆)without touching it, I raised a white flag. If they did not clear the bar or did something wrong while they were jumping, I raised a red flag.

At first, I was quite excited and even a little nervous. I needed to concentrate(集中注意力). But since I had to raise the flags so many times, I found the job a little boring. However, I told myself to be a responsible(负责的)referee and be patient(耐心的). In the end, I was rated(评选)as the youngest and best referee at the sports meet. What a great experience!
