A Dutch science museum recently made a huge meatball. It's made from the meat of a mammoth(猛犸象). 1 How did they do it?
The Australian company Vow helped make it. People found the DNA of a mammoth from the ice. 2 The elephant is the mammoth's closest relative today. Then scientists "grew" the meat with the DNA in a lab. This way, they didn't harm any animals.

The meatball has yet to be ready to be eaten. Scientists need to make sure it is safe. "I won't eat it at the moment because we haven't seen this protein for 4,000 years," Ernst Wolvetang of the University of Queensland told Kids News. 3
Raising animals for meat is bad for the environment. 4 "We chose mammoth meat because it's a symbol of loss, wiped out by climate change," said Vow co-founder Tim Noakesmith. 5 This is good for animals, too.
Choose one proper option to complete the passage. There are two options left.
A. The company combined the DNA with that of an elephant.
B. Scientists have grown meat from a mammoth's DNA.
C. He worked with Vow to create the meatball.
D. Also, man-made meat doesn't need to kill animals.
E. But the animal died out more than 4,000 years ago!
F. The company Vow wants to give people another choice for future food.
G. People like meat and they are trying to find more meat.
