In some Western countries, red is not their lucky colour, but it is the most popular colour in China. It has the meanings of happiness, beauty, good luck and success. Red is widely used during festivals and important events like weddings(婚礼).
Red lanterns can make our houses more beautiful. We put double rows of red “Xi” letters on gates and doors. We also wear red clothes during weddings, festivals and other important events.
