阅读下面的短文,根据短文内容回答问题。(共 4 小题;每小题 3 分,满分 12 分)
Hawaii is a magical name for people who like travelling. People all over the world want very much to see these beautiful islands in the middle of the Pacific. Their travel plans always include at least one scene of a sunset over the water. Actually, people often see the picture in books, magazines, or newspapers and then decide to book a trip. In Hawaii the sun drops like a ball of golden fire into the sea so quickly that you can almost see it move. The sun leaves behind an evening glow (晚霞), lighting the sky and shining on the calm sea.
This scene is not too different from the great beauty that welcomed the first strangers to these islands centuries ago. They were Polynesians who came from Tahiti in very small boats.
They would have seen the beautiful white, sandy beaches and the waving palm trees that we see today, but not all the tall hotels that have been built in the last several decades. These days, people really want to see the original (原始的) beauty of Hawaii. They want to see the lovely beaches and the mountain called Diamond Head, but it is now almost hidden by the tall hotels.
5. What is mainly described in paragraph 1?
_
6. It is mentioned in this passage that Hawaii has experienced a lot of changes, but what aspect has not changed?

7. What does the underlined phrase “original beauty” in paragraph 3 refer to? Give one or two examples.
