In Yunnan,China,there is an interesting festival called Water-Splashing Festival(泼水节). It is a very important(重要的)festival for Dai people in Yunnan. It is Dai's New Year. It usually starts on April 13th and ends on April 15th. The first two days are called “Mairi” and “Naori” in Dai's language(语言). On these two days,people there have a traditional Dai's barbecue(烧烤). There is a lot of dancing too.
The third day called “Bimai” is the happiest day in a year. On the day,people sing,dance and splash water on each other. Dai people think water is lucky. It means the best wishes for the new year.
