The Louisville Zoo
Opened in 1969, the Louisville Zoo is just 15 minutes from downtown Louisville, Kentucky. It cur-rently exhibits more than 1,100 animals on 130 acres of natural settings representing zoogeographical are-as, specific habitat types or special education areas. The zoo is also one of just a handful of institutions in the world to house a small population of black-footed ferrets, North America's most endangered animals.

Education Instructor—One year of experience working with children in formal or informal teaching settings. Must be able to handle small animals for educational purposes, have good communication/teach-ing skills, be willing to be first aid certified and work a varied part-time schedule. Education positions pay$19 per hour.
Zoo Service Assistant—One year of college with a major in biology and one year of working with ani-mals in an institutional setting. Assist area animal keepers with duties to help facilitate the occurrence of regularly scheduled animal presentations.Zoo Service Worker—Various duties: cleaning, ticket scanning (检票), welcoming guests, interac-ting with guests and answering questions, providing safety and security, acting as an attendant for season-al attractions and assisting with crowd and traffic control. Must be a minimum of 16 years of age. Varied schedule availability.
Rides Operator—Operates trams (有轨电车) and Ropes Course will also maintain cleanliness and in-spections of all attractions. Candidates must be a minimum of 17 years old, with tram driver positions also requiring a driver's license.
Splash Patk Attendant—Crowd control, water quality testing and public safety; will also maintain the cleanliness of the park. Must be first aid certifed. Must be a minimum of 16 years of age.
Gardening Zoo Assistant—Grass cutting and grounds maintenance. Must be a minimum of 18 years of age and possess a driver's license. Gardening positions pay $17 per hour.
