七、阅读短文,回答问题
When you do your schoolwork, do you do the easier work first or the harder work? Do you put off the things that you don't like to do? Here are four students' answers.
Ann, 15, from the UK
As for me, I'm a procrastinator(有拖延症的人). I am supposed to spend 40 minutes on my test at school. I don't write a word until the last twenty minutes. Of course I fail the test and my teacher is disappointed at me.
John, 15, from Australia
I don't like putting off my work. If I don't finish the work that should be done, I might feel guilty. So I arrange(安排) my time properly. Therefore, I seldom worry about whether I can finish the work on time or not.
William, 14, from the US
I'm also a procrastinator. In my mind, the thought of instant gratification(即时满足) makes me put off doing what I am asked to do. I always put off the things that I don't like to do. When I realize that is wrong, it is a little late for me to finish the task in time. As a result, I don't do as well as I can.
Li Hua, 14, from China
In my mind, time and tide wait for no man(岁月不饶人). I never want to be a procrastinator. So I make full use of the time by making a proper timetable to finish what I should do. As a result, I never feel nervous about I can't finish my homework or test paper. After finishing my homework, I have free time to do sport or hang out with my friends.
1. From the passages, who are procrastinators?
2. How might John feel if he doesn't finish the work that should be done?
3. What makes William put off doing what he is asked to do?
4. Why does Li Hua never feel nervous about he can't finish his homework or test paper?
5. How long is Ann supposed to spend on her test?
