(2025·黑龙江哈尔滨检测) As a young girl growing up in France, Sarah Toumi dreamed of becoming a leader who could make the world a better place. Her wish to help others began when, at the age of nine, together with her father she went to her father's birthplace in the east of Tunisia during holidays. There she organized homework clubs and activities for children.
Toumi saw first-hand the bad influence of desertification(沙漠化). "Within 10 years rich farmers became worse off, and in 10 years from now they will be poor. I wanted to stop the Sahara Desert from spreading." The low rainfall has put around 75 percent of Tunisia's farmland under the risk of desertification.
Toumi realized that farming practices needed to be changed. She was confident that small land areas can bring large returns if farmers plant crops that don't harm the land, use new technologies for water treatment and focus on natural products and fertilizers(肥料).
In 2012, Toumi continued her dream to fight the desert. She moved to Tunisia, and set up a programme named Acacias for All to put her farming idea into action. "I want to show young people in the countryside that they can create chances where they are. Nobody is better able to understand the influence of desertification than somebody who is living with no clean water to use."
By September 2016, more than 130, 000 trees had been planted on 20 farms, with farmers recording a 60 percent survival rate(率). Toumi guessed that some 3 million trees were needed to protect Tunisia's farmland. In the next couple of years, Toumi hoped to develop the programme in Algeria and Morocco.

Her wish to help others began when, at the age of nine... in the east of Tunisia during holidays"可推知,Toumi 在突尼斯的假期旅行点燃了她帮助别人的愿望。
The low rainfall has put around 75 percent of Tunisia's farmland under the risk of desertification"可知,导致突尼斯农田沙漠化的主因是低降水量。
Toumi continued her dream to fight the desert. She moved to Tunisia, and set up a programme named Acacias for All to put her farming idea into action"和最后一段中的"Toumi guessed that some 3 million trees were needed to protect Tunisia's farmland"可推知,Toumi 建立 Acacias for All 的目的是保护突尼斯的农田。
