The Leaning Tower of Pisa is a bell tower. It is famous for its tilt(倾斜) to one side. Located(位于) behind the Cathedral of Pisa，the tower has become a symbol of Italy. It is the third oldest building in Pisa's Cathedral Square.
The tower was not designed(设计) to lean，but because people built it on soft soils(土壤)，it gradually(渐渐地) tilted to one side.
