FC Santa Claus plays in the area of Lapland. "Christmas is a time of celebration for us. We are the biggest football club in Lapland," said Jose Hiltunen, who helps run FC Santa Claus.
The team plays in red and white clothes with a photo of Father Christmas on their club badge (徽章). There is even a football competition (比赛) for young players called the Santa Claus League. "It is really fun for those beginning to play," Hiltunen said.
On 28 and 29 December, FC Santa Claus will hold an activity with youth coaches (教练) from Aston Villa. "We work with football schools in Aston Villa to teach our young players new skills," said Hiltunen. "This year, our girls' team of players born in 2011 was among the top 20 in Finland."
