《2025年新坐标名题汇高中英语必修第二册外研版》

B
I previously suffered from anorexia(厌食的). Eating was a struggle; it took me an hour to consume a spoonful of food. If I tried to eat to please others,I would then secretly throw it up afterward. I looked pale and weak all the time because I was hardly eating. My family members were anxious.
It all started when a boy in my class called me "fat". I was shocked and upset. I adopted an extremely strict diet and exercise routine. I lost 10 kilograms within three months and continued to lose more weight. I was absolutely crazy about losing even more weight. One day,my heart rate dropped and I was breathless. I almost lost my life. That was when I decided to turn my life around.
Teenagers often seek popularity and acceptance through physical appearance, influenced by idealised images on social media. This can lead to negative behaviour. When teens look down on their appearance and resort to extreme measures to achieve their ideal bodies,it can result in eating disorders, unrealistic and unhealthy exercise habits, and issues like low self-esteem and depression. Besides affecting physical health, this body obsession can also lead to mental health struggles. Teenagers who are body-conscious may feel desperate, guilty, and become sensitive to others’ comments. They are ashamed of the way they look. If you're feeling this way, seek help right away.
It is important to feel confident and positive about your image and not agree with man-made standards of beauty, which will change with time.
