Cheetahs are the fastest land mammals(哺乳动物)in the world. Most cheetahs live in the grasslands and forests of some African countries. Here are some facts of cheetahs.
Cheetahs have a narrow body with long legs and a long tail. They have pale brown or yellow fur with black spots. There are two black lines on their face which run from the inside of their eyes to the outside of their mouth. They have sharp claws(爪子)which can hold the ground tightly as they run.
A cheetah's markings can help it to hide in tall grass when hunting. Its long tail can help it to change direction quickly when running after its prey(猎物).
Female(雌的)cheetahs usually live alone or with their baby cheetahs. They can have between one and eight baby cheetahs at a time. Male cheetahs live in small groups of two or three.
